History of Aunt Beth's Cookies

The Beginning:

Aunt Beth’s Cookies, has been baking famous gourmet cookies "from scratch" for over thirty years. The special recipe cookies, using only the highest-quality ingredients with no added preservatives,keeps you coming back for more of that homemade taste.

The Now – “The Tradition Continues”:

In April of 2016, the bakery and time-honored recipes were sold to Phil Wenzel, who will serve as president and executive pastry chef, and Michael Violi, a successful local businessman with several local business ventures.

Phil received the Certified Culinarian designation in 2008 from the American Culinary Federation and is a graduate of culinary arts programs from Purdue University and The University of Notre Dame.  Immediately prior to investing in Aunt Beth’s Cookies, Phil was Executive Chef at Fatima House and at Holy Cross in South Bend, IN.

Executive Chef Wenzel immediately began making changes to grow the business.  New equipment has been installed and marketing efforts have been expanded.  One thing that will remain constant, however, will be the bakery’s recipes which have withstood the test of time.  As Phil likes to say, “You don’t need to fix something that isn’t broken.
